| The intimate hotel, resplendent with luxuriant wrought-iron balconies, is the closest Gallic Quarter hotel to the Aquarium of the Americas, Canal Place Shopping Center, Woldenberg Park and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The hotel is set in the midst of centuries-old historical buildings, museums, voodoo shops, late-night jazz clubs and world- far-famed restaurants. The 24-hour excitement of Bourbon Street and the antiques and art galleries of Royal Street are simply a few blocks off, as are Jackson Square and Café Du Monde, where beignets and coffee-and-chicory are served 24 hours a day. The lobby in the Bienville House resembles a Gallic Quarter manor with its hand-painted wall murals, gracious furnishings, and noble old-world charm. The historical hotel features four sundecks, access to a nearby fitness center, a romanticistic tropic flagstone courtyard and pool and meeting rooms that can suit up to 50 people. Inside valet parking is available on a first-come first- function basis. The Louisiana Heritage Café and School of Cooking serves an unequaled style of Creole cooking with modern-day flair with dishes such as as "Rajun Cajun" omelettes and seafood beignets with remoulade sauce. Guests can too take part in entertaining culinary lessons where they'll acquire the secrets to making their favourite Cajun dishes.
